What is the Road XS Driver Portal and What Can it Do?
The Road XS driver portal sits in its own space away from the admin area of Road XS. This means any drivers log in to their own area independently of other users.
Drivers can log in securely from anywhere using a desktop, tablet or mobile device.
The driver portal integrates into their life meaning they can set when they wish to drive so that they don’t show up for journeys when they’re busy doing other things.
The portal will also remind them when their MOT and insurance is coming up for renewal along with other requirements they might need to drive such as DBS.
When using the mobile or app version, drivers can use their favourite navigation apps such as Google Navigator, TomTom or Waze and be taken straight to their destination, navigating around traffic as they drive.
They can also provide live GPS location updates showing their last known location every 10-30 seconds and provide updates as to when passengers have been picked up and dropped off.
Once the journey is complete, drivers can also claim any additional mileage above what Road XS estimates the journey mileage should have been, this is useful for road closures or required detours.
You can also optionally allow drivers to select journeys they would like to do which are pending a driver. This can be preset to a radius based on their starting location so that they can’t pick journeys too far away. This reduces a lot of the admin work required and saves a lot of time phoning drivers up.
The driver portal puts community transport right into the driver’s home which means they don’t need to travel to the office to drop off their claim forms. Any driver (as long as they have an authorised login), can log in via the internet and access only their information.

Can drivers update their availability?
Yes. Drivers can manage their own availability meaning you don’t have to keep checking when they are available for journeys.
Do you have an app?
Yes. We have a driver portal app available on Android and Apple devices. We can also provide custom branded driver portal apps too.
On the global app available with Road XS, drivers just have to initially enter the ID for the transport services they operate under then their username and password.
Do we have to use the Driver Portal?
No. The driver portal is an optional feature and you can control who has and has not got access to it.
Can we prevent drivers allocating themselves?
Yes, you can disable this feature so that only you can allocate drivers to journeys.
With the feature enabled you can remove some of the admin work required in allocating drivers as they can allocate themselves to journeys within their local vicinity (when in driver pending status).
